Flower print dress with pockets and a tailored shirt to be worn underneath. The dress closes with <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/7782165@N03/4721226528/in/set-72157603413483774/">buttons</a> at the back. Shirt has snap fastening and faux buttons. <br /><br />Click on the images if you want to see a couple of more pictures on my Flickr page. (You can also find some previously made dresses there - I'll try to take better photos of them at some point.)<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/7782165@N03/4720600665/" title="Untitled by Letiizia, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1068/4720600665_d174d292d2.jpg" width="375" height="500" alt="" /></a><br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/7782165@N03/4721249484/" title="Untitled by Letiizia, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1410/4721249484_49e4e94776.jpg" width="375" height="500" alt="" /></a><br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/7782165@N03/4720603247/" title="Untitled by Letiizia, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1362/4720603247_a6121e9368.jpg" width="375" height="500" alt="" /></a><br /><br />Here's one of the older dresses (I love this fabric).<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/7782165@N03/4665579703/" title="Sew a Dress Day by Letiizia, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1281/4665579703_16081ed7b7.jpg" width="375" height="500" alt="Sew a Dress Day" /></a>Stiinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12899104373274204761noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4439230521444477228.post-46397612206731107882010-05-05T08:17:00.000-07:002010-05-05T08:37:20.804-07:00Blouse & ruffle skirtA blouse and a ruffle skirt in Narae size. The colours, I think, are a bit too sweet for my Narae Frieda (character-wise..) but other than that I like how this turned out. Not everybody might like the combination of dark green and tea rose, but I have to say I like it. (I am not a fan of the colour pink in general, and that might be why I'd rather use it in a bit unconventional way.)<br /><br />The blouse pattern is enlarged and adapted from a Momoko dress pattern in Doll Coordinate Recipe 4. What I made anew is the collar pattern pieces; the original dress had a more simple collar consisting of one piece. (Now the collar is a bit too large though.)<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/7782165@N03/4580382025/" title="Untitled by Letiizia, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4009/4580382025_2bba42613c_o.jpg" width="412" height="550" alt="" /></a><br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/7782165@N03/4580348235/" title="Untitled by Letiizia, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4050/4580348235_138b13a18b_o.jpg" width="412" height="550" alt="" /></a><br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/7782165@N03/4580348169/" title="Untitled by Letiizia, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4038/4580348169_51bce58f07_o.jpg" width="520" height="390" alt="" /></a><br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/7782165@N03/4580348099/" title="Untitled by Letiizia, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4026/4580348099_679fc2971f_o.jpg" width="412" height="550" alt="" /></a>Stiinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12899104373274204761noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4439230521444477228.post-2032852908632077052010-04-27T09:25:00.000-07:002010-04-27T09:32:55.885-07:00Dress & hatI bought a new sewing machine last week - Pfaff Select 4.0. I love it this far! This dress and hat are the first things I made with it. Something relatively simple, because I was itching to try out the new machine. I need to work on the hat pattern, it's not quite as I wanted it to be. The froggie bag was made last year in fact, but I just finished it yesterday. It is not supposed to go with this outfit - and those frogs are so happy that they almost annoy me. :D<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/7782165@N03/4557061449/" title="Myrna & Maisa by Letiizia, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3273/4557061449_8d212b1e34_o.jpg" width="412" height="550" alt="Myrna & Maisa" /></a><br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/7782165@N03/4557693062/" title="Myrna's new hat and dress by Letiizia, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3615/4557693062_301184e45b_o.jpg" width="412" height="550" alt="Myrna's new hat and dress" /></a><br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/7782165@N03/4557693014/" title="Myrna's new hat and dress by Letiizia, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3526/4557693014_eb283d719a_o.jpg" width="412" height="550" alt="Myrna's new hat and dress" /></a>Stiinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12899104373274204761noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4439230521444477228.post-40341550848803770152010-04-27T08:41:00.000-07:002010-04-27T09:14:27.552-07:00Welcome!This is my brand new crafts blog. I am a doll collector and a sort of doll seamstress from Finland. I'm into Asian ball-jointed dolls but I also like other kinds of dolls - my favourite 1/6 fashion dolls are Momoko. I like variety, but I have two rules: all my dolls are girls and they all have black hair. ;) I never had a dark-haired doll as a child and this is what came of that.<br /><br />The most interesting aspect of the hobby for me is creating clothing for the dolls. I have sewn doll clothes since I was a child, but I am a perfectionalist who wants to get better at it. I was thrilled to enter the BJD world (back in 2006) because these beautiful dolls are intended to be customized and the collectors generally appreciate and are interested in custom-made, detailed clothing. And of course, it is easier to sew detailed outfits for sd or msd sized dolls than Barbie.<br /><br />At the moment I have seven ABJ-dolls:<br />Una - Elfdoll Soah<br />Maisa - Elfdoll Bong Sun Hwa<br />Opal María - CP/Luts Soony-S mod.<br />Frieda - Narindoll Narae<br />Kielo - Fairyland MNF Shushu<br />Myrna - Peakswood's Mori Moth<br />Seola Livia - Dollstown SeolaStiinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12899104373274204761noreply@blogger.com0
